Svante shows how easy it is to relax in this place 😉
Wehave had some nice days with summer temperatures. Wonerfully!
”Swedish fika” in the garden and in the greenhouse and on the blanket. But, we have not only ”fikat” all day long, oh no! We have worked hard to fix the area around the greenhouse. Ronny has driven back and forth with a small dump truck loaded with stone, gravel and soil. Soon we will start laying tiles.
In the meantime, I have set up a sunscreen and planted tomato plants and filled soil in new cultivation boxes. I tink it will be very nice.
In a pot, I planted a larch three. I think it looks a little bit oriental now, and with all the bamboo inside. When we work so hard and well, we are worht a glass of cold white from Mozel 🙂
This is the wiew we see every day from our houses. The sun does not always shine like this, but nature is always beautiful and full of life, scents and peace and quiet.
We would like to welcome you, as our guests, to enjoy all this as well.
We work with things in the house. Paint the loft floor, high-pressure wash the floor tiles on the terrace and plant flowers and plants in my green house for the summer – it will arrive.
Big difference!
Ronny has today start a new project – build me a hen house!
For my 8 hens. I have wanted to have hens a long time – more than Ronny whant them, I think. Our neighbors have hens. It looks so nice when they go picking in the garden, and they are pretty tame to – like pets! I hope Svante and Sven-Ingvar also will like them. (At least not attack them – at least not hunt them….)
It will be so wonderful to go out and get my own eggs – organic! And be able to give our guests fresh breakfast eggs in the morning! Lovely!
AndI have so many wonderful ideas for my hen house!!! 😉
We hope for a wonderful summer and wish you all a nice first of May!
Ronny clears a forest and makes a birch grove behind the pond.Spring is on it’s way.
Sometimes it’s lovely spring days, ☀️sometime it,s not!🌧
But spring is approaching. Today I have sown both tomato seeds and chilli. They have to stand inside and grow for s few weeks, because it can still be frost…….and snow, but I don’t think so.
Vacation on your own – in these contagious times!
This is how we do in these Corona times.
If you have been our guests before, you know that your stay in our cottage is ’on your own’. The cottage is cleaned carefully, and we wash all pillows between each guest and a bottle of hand disinfectant is available for our guests. Until June, we have at least two days between each guest. If you like to cancel your stay, notify us as soon as possible. We hope that this nasty virus soon is gone🥰and everything can go back to normal again.
Today, we were out in the woods collecting material for our Christmas wreat.
The greenhouse became my wreath`s workshop.
We only have two weeks left for advent, and I like to have most things done before then. Our Christmas decorations often come from the nature.
Sometimes we make some changes –
Hopefully for the better for our guests. In recent weeks we have changed reading lamps on the sleeping loft. Under each lamp, there is a plug, where you can load your mobilephone.
During this week there will be more and more Christmas in the cottage❤️
It gets darker and colder and more shoppers at Gekås every weekend!
This is how Slamrekullen looked like in the beginning of October.
Now autumn has blown away all the colorful leaves. We sit inside, light candels and fires in the fireplace, and start to think about if we need new Advent candels, and stars and candy and presents……..
My thoughts usually take me to our large department store – Gekås!https://www.gekas.com/
There you find lots of everything! Now we have several happy choppers as our guests in our cottage. This week – from Denmark. Hope they find a lot of nice things.
Autumn at Slamrekullen is always close to the nature! Wery close 🙂
Our calender for 2019.

Now is the time of the glittering web – early autumn. I must go out and take some pichtures and see if I can catch the diaminds in the nets. Like this one, my best photo I use in our blogg.
The days are still warm, but the cold comes quickly in the evening. In the morning, when I drive to work, it is fog over the lakes. It is so beautiful. We can still sit outside and enjoy the sun on the terrace.
Nature begins to change color – against yellow!
Yellow is the chantarelles, yellow is the leaves, yellow is the fire we light in the stove and yellow is Gekås! And yellow are all shoppers´bags full of Christmas presents. Now start the BIG shopping time, and lasts until Christmas 🙂
