This weekend we changed landscape, leave Halland for a visit in Bohuslän and Marstrand. (One of my sisters favorite places). I had never been there, so it would be exciting.

Friday, we drowe ca 150 km, to Marstrand, it took ca 1 1/2 hour. We left our forests and lakes, for archipelago and the sea. A total change of scene! We started our stay with a cold beer and a big shrimpsandwich! (This is the land of seafood!) Then we wisit my sister in here ”house-car”.

Saturday – we will go for a walk – the black trail! It was wonderful, absolutley wonderful! My sister had prepared a lunch for us,  with chamapgne. She is also wonderful 😉

Fiwe kilometers we walked, up and down. Many photo stops it became. On Marstrand there is no sandy beaches, but many small bath piers. My sister took a bath 🙂

In the evening we crossed the little channel to Marstrands island by the ferry, and visti a nice resturant called ”Världshuset”.

We can really recommend this ”day trip” during your stay with us. But only on sunny days!!  My sisters favorite places is now one of my own 😉

YES! Some small drops finally fall from the sky……

But we need a lot! It is a disaster for our farmers and their animals. It is a disaster because the forest is so dry and the leaves are yellow and falling….

In the north of Sweden, there is several forest fires wich are difficult to extinguish. It is fire prohibition in all of Sweden.

It is also adisaster for our plants, the lawn and my sunflowers 😦 The fish in our pond get less and less water every day….

BUT, right now it rain!!! I hope, from now, we got a normal summer. With some sun, some rain and temperatures we can handle, (not over 30°!!!)

But we have some wonderful days so far……with out rain…….bath in our lakes, canot trips with fishing and lots of lots of ice cream!!!!

TODAY, THREE YEARS AGO, WE WELCOMED OUR FIRST GUESTS TO SLAMREKULLEN!

(A couple from Holland). Since then there has been so many wonderful guests and many new friends. Some of them come back to us, they also like to live here. Calm down in a cozy cottage – in the middle of nature 😉

We are so happy and proud to have built this place, 4 years it took.  We have not forget how many of our friends and dear neighbors who have helped us with ther knowledge and time – no wonder it became so good!

Midsummer it is!

Our dear guests and friends, Kerstin and Heinz from Munchen now lives in our ”uthus”. Last week we were invited to them for a dinner (german style). Potato salad and german sausages and grilled meat – lovely!

Last night, we invited for a dinner (swedish style). Since it was midsummer, we must have sill! (herring). (On Christmas and easter  – we also MUST have SILL!) Not so many people like sill, but we must have it anyway, because it is tradition! (You need to learn to like it). Last night i made a ”gubbröra” (with sill, egg, potatoes, onion, apple, dill, majonnaise, tomatpuré, mm. My ”gubbröra” should be eaten on ”thin bread”. Salmon was the main course – off course! 😉  Salomon is this regions (Halland) animal, and I love salmon!

We have a very nice evening in our wintergarden, infront of the fireplace…..with Prosecco……and beer …..and football…….match……..Germany – Sweden! We lost, but I can not care less! The best team wins. But I have never looked at WM match before in my couch, there not everyone suporting the same team!!!! Interesting.

We have had lovely summer days so far……too little rain, so the lawn has became yellow! But the summer is really nice.

Have just arrived home after a lovely evening (with picnick) in our little boat in Trolla lake 😉

The water was warm, so Ronny dicided to take a swim! He also tryed to catch a fish, but no luck.

We love this summer evenings. Absolutely wonderful!

The summer is really here – over 25° C every day! We are used to this now, so the summer must go on……

Tomorrow we welcome a couple from Switzweland.

Summer come early this year!

For several days we have had summer heat (25 – 27 degrees).

Perhaps it´s to compensate for the very long and cold winter?

Pichtures from a early morning 6.30!

Yesterday we had ”the big fixing day” at Slamrekullen.

We put up a windscreen / transparency protection on the terrace.

Rolled up a brand new gasol grill, planted new plants around the pond.

AND WE DROWE DOWN THE BOAT TO THE LAKE!

Now we are ready for lovely summer days!

Starts with sun!

Today we say ”good bye” to the winter and welcome summer!

Everywhere around the houses, we see little white stars on the ground – vitsipporna!  And the birds have a very stressful time right now. In our little pond, we have visitors (seabirds) almost every day. We have not seen Mr and Mrs Swan yet. I hope they find us again.

We celebrate Easter in snow this year 😉

We ended the Easter eve with our neighbors, with a warming ”Easter-fire”!

Now we melt the snow! Here comes the SPRING!

Hello our dear guests and friends❤️

We will send you all a sunny greating from our vaccation. Every year in march, we went to Florida and also a cruse to the carribbean. 16 march we left a cold and snowy Sweden……

………. for a warm and sunny Florida and a cruse to the carranbean islands. This year we wisited the ABC – islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaso). It was a wonderful cruse, and no waves😉

In time to celebrate easter, we are home again! Home to take care of our dear guests, (our season starts now) and Ronny is ready for a new season on the racetrack😉 We had a hard and cold winter this yaer, and we hope the snow is gone when we got back. Now we whant spring, sun and ‘fika’ in the sun🌞
